My theme has been chosen over my very large interest and knowledge about cars. I specifically picked out the genre of car which is the supercar as some of my favourite cars are classed as supercars and are cars that I want to talk about in my podcast styled talk show for my project. The podcast will be comparing and talking about different types of brand of supercar.
Audience Profile
For my audience profile they need to be interested in a very specific genre. The genre of my podcast/ talk show is going to be all about cars so the target audience is going to be aimed towards a audience who is interested in cars and for people who are in special car clubs and for people who are genuinely just interested in cars and may not own anything fancy but still go to events such as car meets and festivals such as the good wood festival of speed.
The age of target audience which I am aiming to gain attention from is people aged from 17- 60. The reason of this age is because of the younger audience such as young boys who are very interested in cars and is possibly an industry they are wanting to be in in the future. Then for my older side of my target audience the people aged around 40-60 these people may be around the age to be getting to the stage of being retired and may spend there money on classic cars and super cars as they will have the disposable income to do so.
The Social status for my radio show is going to be specifically aimed towards the ABC1 social status. This is because my podcast is all about cars and supercars in specifically, meaning that most of the audience are either going to be interested in cars or have a collection of supercars. The reason it is ABC1 is because you have to have a very large disposable income to be able to invest in these cars and be involved in the expensive hobby.
Production Ideas
Interaction ideas - I have a couple of ideas for interaction for the audience to get involved with the podcast. This could be done with polls put on instagram a few days before the podcast is released. On the polls would be questions about cars and a percentage of the answer could be spoken in the podcast to tell the audience the answer. Another way that interaction could be done is having a question box on the official instagram page for the audience members to ask questions and then the presenters would answer the questions on the podcast and mention the person who has asked the question.
Advert Ideas - A strong idea of mine for the advert side of the podcast would be a posh voice would be used to create a professional advert. The advert would be advertising a luxury car brand which the older side of the audience would be able to afford and could be something for the younger to be inspired by as the younger audience doesn't have a big disposable income as some of the older audience with car collections. A expensive car brand such as Ferrari and Bentley would be the brand of choice to advertise. Other advertisement ideas such as car detailing products and car accessories could be advertised.
Bulletin/news update - My idea is going to be having news about traffic reports on the show which are relevant to the audience who may listen to the podcast in the car.

This song would work well to be played towards the middle of my podcast because it relates to a very well know car influencer in the UK. Drive Dave is a well known influencers and YouTuber with a fleet of high horsepower expensive and modified cars. This song is fast paced with a nice beat to it which is good for the younger audience. This song also features actual sound effects from real cars as well.

Competition ideas
The competition that could be hosted on my podcast could include a free entry to win a track day at Silverstone where you could get to drive round the track in a car. The way you would enter the competition is by following the instagram account for the radio station, liking the post, tagging two friends and sharing the post to the story. This is creating folksonomy as we are getting the audience to do something, this is also UGC (User generated content) as we are getting the audience to put the post on the story which is them creating content. The post will be a photograph of a high-performance track car such as a Lamborghini Hurricane STO or a Porsche 992 GT3RS the photograph of the car would be at the Silverstone track. This competition idea links to my subject and theme of a supercar post cast as the competition is a car related prize. The way of entering the completion also gains more followers for the social media account and in the long run will help to gain more listeners on the podcast.
The same prize could then be given out however you would have to pay to enter as the podcast will run ads to gain money and won't be a PSB (public service broadcaster), to enter you would pay a pound per entry and message a specific number where a random winner would be called and they would have to say a specific word like Silverstone to win the prize and if they answer and don't say it they loose.
News Ideas
The only news that would be presented on the podcast would only be car related news. For example news such as new super cars being released would be talked about and what's good and bad about them and the audience would be able to gain a honest opinion by the presenters of the podcast. The new Lamborghini Temerario would be mentioned in the podcast as this is a car that has recently been released and is big news for the car community.

Treatment
Name - I am planning to have the name of my show to be called 'Horsepower hour' which fits into the codes and conventions and genre of supercars. This is because the word Horsepower links to the cars engine which is how cars engines are measured through horsepower. The word hour is a good amount of time for a podcast to be broadcasted for.
Type of programme - The type of programme that I am wanting to record is a podcast styled show. The show is going to be a mainly talking show with a total of two presenters In it. I am going to have an advert that is going to be promoting a new super car that is coming out. The voice actor that will be in the advert is going to be a female voice speaking in a professional and posh way. There is going to be a fast paced car related song in the middle of the podcast.
Launch Date - The launch date is going to be in summer. The podcast is purposely going to be launched in the Summer as this is when most people will be driving their supercars. This is because supercars and expensive cars are usually kept away during the winter to keep them in good condition and to protect the cars from the grit on roads and other road grime such as muck.
Key Personal - There is going to be a total of two presenters and one voice actor for the advert.
