Justifying codes and conventions
The codes and conventions that I am going to show what my cars podcast is similar to is the Every Day Driver podcast which can be broadcasted on YouTube. The first similar convention between my podcast and the Every Day driver podcast is that it can be streamed at any time of the day to suit anyones time who wants to listen to the Podcast. This same convention makes sense as people who are into cars may be busy working or even driving a car and want to listen to the podcast whenever they want so having the podcast live to listen to at any time and download it allows people to be more flexible about listening to the podcast. On the other hand though my podcast has two presenters on the podcast where as the Every Day Driver the podcast has only one presenter on it.
My podcast and the Every Day Driver podcast shares similar conventions as on the Every Day driver podcast they only talk about car related subjects which is what my podcast is all about as well. The Every Day Driver podcast talks about many different car related subjects such as things that makes the car have a soul, future uupcoming cars, muscle cars and also supercars. My podcast follows the same conventions as the Every Day Driver podcast because the contents that will be broadcasted on my podcast are all car related and on my podcast we will be specifically discussing superiors that already exist. From this you can see that my podcast and the Every Day Driver are the same genre of podcasts. My Horsepower Hour podcast also follows similar conventions to the Every Day Driver podcast
Another conventions that my podcast and the Every Day Driver podcast share is the talk styled podcast which creates a more involved environment for the audience to listen to. My pod cast and the Every Day Driver podcast are both relaxed style podcast for the audience to listen to and is a very chill podcast like the podcast I am making as this allows the audience to engage more in the podcast as it is more chill. My podcast follow the conventions of the Every Day Driver podcast as it is also a podcast that can be listened to whilst driving hence the name of the podcast and the podcast also allows you to feel like you are a part of the conventions and my podcast follows the Every Day Driver podcast as mine will create verisimilitude for when the audience listens to the podcast like the Every Day Drive podcast does. Another convention that my podcast shares with the Every Day Driver podcast is that they talk about the details of the cars that they talk about such as the price and things like the engine size which is the same amount of detail that my presenters talk about in my podcast.
The Horsepower Hour podcast that is the one that I am producing has similar conventions to the Every Day Driver podcast because of the fact that the presenter on the Every Day Driver and the presenters that will be on my podcast have a friendly approach to them when you are listening to which allows the audience to feel like they have a connection with the presenters of the podcasts which allows them to also enjoy listening to the podcasts more. My Horsepower Hour podcast that I have produced follows the conventions of the BBC 5 Live Drive that I have analysed in LO1 as there is a lot of talking and intivews that are shown in the show which is a similar style of podcast I have gone to as I have a competition winner in mine who is in the show and is similar to a interview like BBC 5 Live Drive do. Another reasons my podcast follows similar conventions to the BBC 5 Live Drive is because they talk about recent topics and subjects that have been done which is what I have done in my podcast as in mine the presenters talk about recent car related subjects.
